Super Mario Bros. Live

Once upon a time, it would have been re-enactments of something from Saturday morning cartoons, perhaps. Before that, it would have been parodies of other childhood entertainments from the 40s, the 50s. Today, what brings down the house is stuff that harkens back to the college kid’s lazy summer afternoons. Super Mario Bros. Live, on stage.
And this is like the second or third thingof this sort I’ve seen. Both scary (it makes me feel old) and cool.
Presumably this means that when my kids are in college, they will be doing Ed, Edd, ‘n’ Eddy skits, Pokemon homages, and sketch comedy involving mySpace memories will be all the rage.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
With sound desynchronization and inaccurate collision detection, that version of Super Mario Bros. was likely in beta.

Thats a decent production, but on broadway you’d have a highly trained actor with mad hops playing Mario.
mad hops indeed.
and he would be looking forward the whole time instead of watching the invisible block holders approaching.
