Major News Means More Errors
Just read a Reuter’s article on C|Net (Link) about the Second Life security breach I mentioned earlier (reLink) and am once again amazed at the poor journalististic effort to get the facts straight. Here are some mistakes:
“Second Life,&#…
I made my first second life account yesterday. I also canceled it yesterday.
I logged on and frankly I couldnt stand the control scheme. I have gotten used to vaiours MMO schmes, EVE, SWG, WoW, and have appreciated each of them for their own unique use, however SL’s scheme feels unresponsive.
Anyways after I saw that, I went out and canceled my account, as I didn’t feel like having my CC charged for 100,000,000,000 in linden.
I just had my EVE account compromised (where the perp. bought over 130$ worth of playtime and do not feel like going through that all over again).
MMO customer service is just one of those things, I’m sure its difficult for both sides.
