So, I haven’t been posting lately. And the reason is that I have been neck-deep in code.
Super Mario Bros. Live
(Visited 5362 times)Once upon a time, it would have been re-enactments of something from Saturday morning cartoons, perhaps. Before that, it would have been parodies of other childhood entertainments from the 40s, the 50s. Today, what brings down the house is stuff that harkens back to the college kid’s lazy summer afternoons. Super Mario Bros. Live, on stage.
And this is like the second or third thingof this sort I’ve seen. Both scary (it makes me feel old) and cool.

A golf cart costs money. If you own a golf cart, you’re not getting as tired walking the course. This may help you play better. The club will rent you one. Aha, company-sponsored RMT. ArchLord, like the golf club, is merely charging a premium for the “easy” difficulty setting.
Is it fair? Of course not. Fair and commerce, despite legislative intent, usually do not hang out at the same parties.

This caught me by surprise, sort of. I mean, we all know that the print mags have been suffering over the years as online stuff rose in prominence and had the added advantage of timeliness. But the way this is happening is interesting: Microsoft is basically launching a “Games for Windows” magazine, and CGW is going to turn into it. Jeff Green says nothing will change…
