It’s nice to see the local IGDA chapter being so active. This upcoming event looks particularly juicy: IGDA San Diego » What Makes A Next-Gen Game?, featuring a whole host of prominent game journos.
If you’re local to San Diego, check it out.

Good to see you guys are starting to get the SD chapter moving. I wish it had become popular while I still lived out there.
Side note: I’m putting my name in the hat with everyone who hates the term “next-gen,” because it doesn’t mean anything, yet comes up all the time in marketing speak and in arguments about a game sucking.
I figure that we’ll find out what it means to be “next-gen” at the event. Somehow, I doubt that the term is meaningless. If the term were meaningless, we wouldn’t have been able to put together this event, would we? 😉
so when are they gonna have home virtual realty machines
The answer to this question is, I make a next-gen game. 😛
