Be-Bratz joins the fray

Ho hum. Another day, another major toy brand creates a virtual world. This time it’s Barbie’s nemesis, the Bratz doll.
In the meantime, BarbieGirls.com, which is Barbie’s own take on this space, has registered a half million kids already. That’s since April 26th.

Hey, those aren’t kids, those are “residents”.

Bratz virtual world??? NOOOOOOO…..
(says the father of 3 daughters age 7-12 — thankfully, they all hate the Bratz. Maybe later, when they’re older, we’ll look back and laugh at them and call them “Slutz.” Though of course their creators would doubtless raise a protest over my statements here. I can hear it now: “No, these are really NICE girls. They just happen to look like MTv-ho wannabes.” )
I wonder what the… *cough*… “adoption” numbers are.
