One of the interview questions we had as we looking for a community person was “if you had to pick five words that are key to community relations, what are they?”
There were varied answers, of course, but the one we were looking for was “honesty.”
A few days ago, I got word that a colleague from Origin days had passed away. Old-school Ultima players probably remember his name, as he played key roles on the later Ultima titles. We intersected only briefly at Origin, as he worked for a little bit on a conversation system for UO. I lost track of him after he left Origin…

Looks like Virtually Blind is stepping up a bit, as Benjamin Duranske, the author of the blog, is now co-chair of the new Virtual Worlds and Multiuser Online Games committee.
Presumably this means that some of the stuff that Greg Boyd had as open questions in his session at AGDC will start getting ABA opinions put into the mix. 🙂
