I know, two Metaplace posts in a row…
Anyway, we are Looking for Community Beta Partners, people who have forums and want to try out adding a Metaplace world to them. This is just an early trial, so we’ll only pick a few to start. So if you’re interested, drop us a line at the link.
If you’re interested, please send me an email at [email protected]. Please include the following information:
- Name, url and brief description of the community
- Estimated number of unique monthly visitors/members
- Type and version of forum software that you’re running
- Ability / willingness to do some simple php integration

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
A blog is just another type of forum, right? *innocent look* 😉
Hmm, pretty cool. I’m not sure the Nerfbat Forums have enough unique members, though. It’s an active MMO design discussion forum, but only about 20-30 of us post frequently on it.

Watch out. You might get called a luddite for that comment. Not here, of course.
You can turn any forum into a blog by restricting new thread privileges to certain users. You can turn any blog into a forum by opening new post privileges to everyone or every registered user.
PunBB is forum software that, I think, comes with feed capabilities. So the only functional difference between forums and blogs is who can start discussions.
Even then, the difference is moot because you can’t even say that a blog is limited to one author or a forum is limited to a select group of people.
Saying “read my blog” is just a friendlier way of saying “participate in my forum.”
I’d vote for that one. Good forum with some good discussion.
Another one would be Terranova
Hello!
I think this try.
Very cool. We’ve been searching for something like this for years now!
