Hail in San Diego
(Visited 6309 times)Usually, San Diego has lovely weather. It’s one of the first things you notice when you step off the plane. Winter is two weeks of rain in February or March.
When it has bad weather, it usually goes from “perfect” to “weird” in short order. As in this case:
Yes, that is hail in my back yard. It came down hard for about 15 minutes, then stopped. Kristen tells me we had a small recurrence today.
Temperature? 50-60 degrees Fahrenheit. Go figure.
Monthly Report: February 2006

Read on for a glimpse into the depravity of Internet searchers! Marvel at the increasing traffic and bandwidth bill! Be shocked by what posts people cared about! Visit our new exhibit on feed readers, and discover how feeds bite the hands that feed them, but feed on other things! All this and more, for the low, low price of a single clickthrough!
Fixed the feed…
(Visited 7446 times)For those of you who emailed me or posted about this: there was a bad character in one of the posts. It should be fixed now.
Danah Boyd on MySpace
(Visited 9925 times)Identity Production in a Networked Culture: Why Youth Heart MySpace is Danah Boyd’s recent presentation.
However, what I really want to ponder is “why can/can’t we replace MySpace in this paper with the word MMORPGs?”
Factoid: MMORPGs are not, demographically speaking, youth spaces as described (yes, I know you will have anecdotes to the contrary about the obnoxious 14 year old, and so on). Why or why not?
